CMA Endoscopy Congress 2026: Xishan Showcases Steerable Bur & 4K Neuro-Endoscopy for Complex Skull Base Surgery

CMA Endoscopy Congress 2026

From August 28 to 30, 2026, the Annual Congress of the Endoscopy Physicians Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association (CMDA) was grandly held in Xuzhou, Jiangsu. Centered on the theme “Intelligent Endoscopy, Minimally Invasive Future,” the conference convened leading endoscopic specialists and neurosurgeons nationwide to engage in deep academic exchanges regarding endoscopic technological innovation, clinical translation, and future procedural trends.

As an innovative developer of high-end surgical equipment, Xishan Medical showcased its comprehensive neurosurgical minimally invasive tool solutions. Through dedicated academic forums and hands-on demonstrations, Xishan explored cutting-edge clinical practices with industry leaders to advance precision neurosurgical care.

Academic Satellite Session: Empowering Complex Skull Base Surgery

During the congress, Xishan Medical hosted a highly anticipated academic session titled “Application of 4K Endoscopy and Steerable Burs in Endoscopic Transnasal Skull Base Surgery,” featuring a keynote lecture by Prof. Songbai Gui from Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University.

Drawing upon extensive clinical experience, Prof. Gui delivered in-depth insights into the evolution of endoscopic transnasal skull base techniques, operative challenges, and the clinical efficacy of precision instrumentation in complex skull base cases, offering novel perspectives for advancing minimally invasive neurosurgery.

Key Innovations in the Spotlight

During the session and booth demonstrations, Xishan’s 4K Neuro-Endoscope and the patented Steerable Bur emerged as central focal points:

  • 4K Neuro-Endoscope: Designed to address the demands of delicate manipulation and deep surgical corridors in transnasal skull base procedures—particularly in complex resections such as chordomas. Utilizing multi-dimensional color differentiation technology, it optimizes image reproduction under active bleeding conditions, helping surgeons accurately distinguish tissue margins and critical neurovascular structures.
  • 0–36° Radial Steerable Bur: Featuring a 0–36° stepless radial angle adjustment, this innovative tool allows surgeons to dynamically maneuver the grinding direction, creating anatomical bone space in 3D and directly resolving the historical surgical challenge of “visible but unreachable.” Furthermore, its innovative rigid “T-shaft” transmission design significantly enhances power stability, delivering dependable, chatter-free support for complex skull base interventions.

Looking ahead, Xishan Medical remains dedicated to clinical demand as its core driver and technological innovation as its engine, continually advancing the R&D and clinical translation of premium surgical equipment to deliver safer, more precise, and efficient solutions for minimally invasive neurosurgery.
